Yonago City is located in the western part of Tottori Prefecture, and is blessed with a rich natural environment, with Mt. Daisen, the highest peak in the Chugoku region, to the southeast, the Sea of Japan to the north, and Nakaumi, which is registered under the Ramsar Convention as the southern limit of migration for Tundra swans, to the west.

Surrounded by nature, Yonago City has seven mackerel shabu-shabu restaurants.In fact, Yonago is the largest concentration of mackerel shabu-shabu in Japan.
